Research Stress Level

Democrats and Republicans positions in the "fiscal cliff" differ because they have completely differnt views on how to fix it. Democrats belive that the government should raise taxes on the rich. However, the republicans think different. They want the Government to limit deductions so they can raise federal revenue. Though, some republicans agree with president Obama and his democratic party. They believe that raiseing taxes on the rich will fix the "fiscal cliff."

The research strategies on Google helped greatly. I mostly used the reading level which i put to basic and also by date. By doing this, it gave me websites that were posted about a week and so gave me a perspective on what is most recently happening rather than reading what happened a while before which might have changed. Also, by putting it to basic reading level, it was easier for me to understand all the political talk. What didint help me was the dictionary strategy. I tried to look up the defintion of the fiscal cliff and gave me nothing. All these strategies were new to me and they helped me in a very positive way. I will apply these strategies to my research by doing what they latest posts are and reading level to basic so things could be easier and faster to understand.   
 

Trust and Communication is Key.

I believe that the most important aspects when dealing with love are trust and communication. The reason i believe that trust is an important aspects when dealing with love is because when you dont trust anyone you can't have any type of relationship with them. It could either be an intimate relationship, friendly relationship, or family relationship. Also, when you don't communicate with others, relationships will die. They will die because the person might feel like you don't trust them or they arn't worthy enough to help you or listen to you. The most forgotten and disregarded aspects have to be trust and communication as well. The reason i say that is because many people belive that they don't have to communicate with others to have some sort of strong bond. Others think that trust isn't inportant and that they could take adantage of it. This will hurt a relationship greatly. It can damage the current ones and the future ones because then everyone knows you can't be trusted.    

Social

My "type" is social. This means that i like to be around people and that i enjoy helping others. It also means that i would contribute to society in some way. It also means that i have strong interpersonal and communication skills and i tend to be empathetic, patient, and understanding. In some ways this is true and some ways it is not. For example, when it comes to being understanding and empathetic however i am not really patient when it comes to some sort of things. Then as i looked down at the majors that the website advised the two majors i wanted to study were in there which are physical therapy and psychology. This website really made me realize what i want to pursue once i get out of high school.    

My Heroes

Growing up, I've always looked up to many people, many of them althletes. However, the only people i consider my heroes are my father and my mother. The reason they are my heroes is because of everything they have done so much for my family and me. From the beginning, my father was the provider for those in my household. He would take any job that was available just so we could have a bite to eat everyday. You could tell that it wasnt easy for him because when he would come home from work he would be dirty and worn down. Yet, he still woke up everymorning to go on and do the same thing all over again, that is until he got injured in a soccer game about 4 years ago. Ever since that day he could not go back to work because his injury is still there. Even though his injury hurts him greatly at times, he still finds a way to earn money. From helping a friend with something to catering for quinceneras and weddings. He wasnt the only one that had to change his ways due to his injury. My mother was a stay at home mom but she had to change that and get two jobs just so we could make it through the day. My mother worked from 6 in the morning to about 10 at night. Sometimes i didn't get to see her for three consecutive days because she worked so much. Then she got a promotion in her first job and so she quit her second one. These past four years have been extrmely diffucult for them, yet they still haven't given up. I can easily tell you what the characteristics my hero would need to have. My hero would be determined, hard working, must have endurance, and they never quit no matter what obstacles or challanges a put before them. There is no doubt that my parents have these characteristics.

Sports Mentality

If you click both of the two links below, they will lead you to a clue that will give you an idea to what i would like to study in college. These links are on Psychology and Sports Psychology and they both give information on articles and current events that have to do with Psychology. The reason i would like to pursue this career is because when i came back from my knee injury i recovered physically however i did not recover mentally. I kept thinking that my soccer skills were no longer great and i was very depressed because of it. I would like to help others that are going through this problem in the future so they keep playing the sport they love.

The reason i would like to do this in the future is similar to the reason as the paragraph above. I have had many injuries throughout my life its unbelieveable. I would like to help others in the future with injuries so they can go back to doing what they love to do.

Moral Rights or Legal Rights?

One of the events that is most talked about at the moment is the whole religous conflict between the United States and the middle east. Recently, the New York Times has written an article speaking upon multiple protests, most of them violent,  that have broken out in the middle east because of a video that was released. The article states that in that video, the prophet of the Muslims Muhammad was  made fun of or mocked. The film maker did not break the law in any way, however, in my opinion he did abuse the First Amendment of the U.S. Constitution. The reason i believe that he abused the First Amendment is because this amendment technically gives anyone the right to believe in and say anything they desire. However, that doesn't mean you have the right to diss a believe. Yes, i understand that making fun of a believe is not illegal but it isn't morally correct. People should respect and take into consideration that religion is a sensitive topic. Im sure that everyone knows when they have crossed a line, i know i do. I know that if i wanted to spread my believes i had the right to. I can talk to others about my believe and where it has gotten me. However, burning a sacred book of a religion that goes against mine is definately crossing the line. just like a religous scholar said, "We want countries to understand that thay need to take into consideration the people and not just the governments."

Do We Need a Hero?

Most of the time when someone thinks of a hero they imagine a man or a woman wearing colorful tights and a cape with a huge logo that have super strength or super speed or anything of that sort. If these heroes were real, the hero in our society would have the power to create money, food, and peace. This hero would go to the poorest places and give people money so they can pay off their house or would give schools more money to provide more oppurtunities. This hero would also have the ability to make food for those who starve. He/she would be able to create peace so no violence could take place. However, that ins't the reality, though these things are possible to accomplish. If us, the people, stand up and speak out so we can be heard anything is possible. Like Tuapc Amur Shakur once said "It's time for us as people to start making some changes. Let's change the way we eat, let's change the way we live, and let's change the way we treat each other. You see, the old way wasn't working so it's on us to do what we have to do, to survive." This is exactly what we have to do. If we don't make changes then who will?       
   

Education

Education in America is expremely valuable i believe for many reasons. One reason is that many jobs now require someone to have a some kind of college degree. A couple of years back, not many jobs asked for college degress. Now, even McDonalds is asking for people to have a one, that is crazy. The only thing is that they do not require someone to have a degree of some sort, however, if two people applied at some job that asked (not require) for a degree and one person has it an the other does not, who do you think will get chosen for the position? Also, when you have a degree, you just don't get educated, you also get disciplined and helps you get ready for the "real world." For example, when you graduate you will be ready to go on and pursue the career you have been dreaming of. You obviuosly have to start off slow and in the beginning you might not have your own business. In differnce, you might have to start off by working for someone who has experience in the position you would like to be in sometime in the future. For example, if you want to own your own physical therapy clinic one day, you have to get a job or internship at another physical therapy clinic so you can learn more about the system. So when you apply for your internship or job, the person in charge will see that you have a degree, they will know that you are educated for that position and sees you as responsible and disciplined. I want to be in this position one day. I would love to get a degree in something that has to do with sports like, sports medicine, sports psychology, sports journalism or physical therapy. Without a degree, i can not be a writer or doctor or some sort. This is why education is very valuable to me. Another reason why education is important is because i would love to help take care of my parents and siblings.
